Zaidy was born on February 27, 1972, in Kampung Pondok Lati, Pasir Mas, Kelantan. His family, having relocated among various estates in Negeri Sembilan and Pahang, eventually settled in Felda Kumai, Bera. As the eldest of seven children to Haji Abdul Talib Che Harun and Hajah Shakiriah Yaacob, Zaidy has always been a figure of responsibility and leadership. He is blissfully married to Hajah Kasmawati Haron, and together they are blessed with six children, three boys and three girls.
Zaidy’s educational journey began at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bera for his secondary education. He then pursued his pre-university studies in the science stream at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Temerloh, where he was among the few Malay students at the time. Zaidy furthered his studies, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Universiti Malaya. His pursuit of knowledge continued with a Diploma in Tasawur Islam from the Institute of Leadership and Dakwah Training (ILHAM) and a Master’s degree in Islamic Law from Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Syarif Kasim, Riau, Indonesia.
Zaidy’s career has spanned various sectors and roles. He initially served as an engineering lecturer at a private college, followed by a stint as an engineer at an Avionic engineering company, and later joined a software development marketing company as a project manager. In 2002, he established his own company, focusing on the development of information system software. In 2008, Zaidy achieved certification as an NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Practitioner from NFLP, USA, and, alongside several colleagues, ventured into the human capital development sector by establishing a company in the field. He has also obtained a coaching certification from Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB) and serves as a Professional Learning Facilitator (PLF).
Zaidy’s journey, marked by continuous learning and diverse career experiences, reflects his commitment to knowledge, development, and contributing to various sectors through his multifaceted expertise. His story is one of persistent development, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to contributing to society and industry through education and entrepreneurial ventures.
